When I took on the 30 Day challenge I had gone for almost 6 months without posting a blog so it was an incentive to get some content onto the site. 30 articles in 30 days, one article didn’t seem so bad. Wrong it turned out to be a tough challenge.

There was point I wanted to quite, but I took this challenge on to test myself so I made a commitment to myself to see it through. Even if it meant that I would need to catch up on some days. But I am happy that its Day 30 and am writing the last blog of the challenge. I am happy with myself, and as much as it was tough, I enjoyed it.

From the word go I realised that I had to come with a basic angle for each post. No research just my thoughts off the top of the head so some of the posts may not be as cohesive as I would like but my main aim was to write and complete what was on my mind regarding that topic on that day. I would write on whatever topic was there for that day based on how I understood it. I wanted to make sure I didn’t spend more than 30 minutes on a post. I would sketch it out in point form some more than others, then would write.

I felt some of the topics were very personal, something I do not normally put online. I made it a point to write on each topic as prescribed. Other topics I naturally had not much knowledge about or an opinion about but I still took on the challenge.  Some of the topics are issues I generally just stay away from commenting on because of the unnecessary drama they bring.

I will probably edit some of those articles when I read them again, as these were done in a way equivalent to what I would do in my drawing sketch book.

The next challenge would be going in to all the articles and making them SEO compliant as I had not done this during the challenge. Then lastly would be going back to read all the articles from other writers in the challenge! That I think will be the toughest part. It certainly challenged me to get out of my comfort zone, and had me consistently writing for 30 days. Will I be able to maintain the momentum? I really don’t think so! I will go back to my regular routine of posting when I have burning desire to write and document!
